When you hear the siren, remain calm, and follow the procedures according to the type of siren, which were previously trained on by the security and safety team.
When the evacuation order is announced, do the following:
Get the information file which is placed behind the classroom door.
Each teacher must take the students in rows, walk on the right side, keep the students calm, and go directly to the assembly point.
Turn off lights, turn off appliances, close windows and the door.
Follow the designated route as shown on the class map.
If using stairs, take the right side for going up and the left side for going down.
If any of the staff is on break, they go directly to the class or the place where they need to be.
Avoid using the elevator.
The students must be standing in a queue in the assembly point (football fields).
The class teacher must stand in front of the students’ queue and count the numbers of students by raising the colored cards (red, yellow, green), while the assistant teacher has to stand at the end of the queue.
If students are with an activity teacher or specialist, they are taken to the assembly point and handed over to the class teacher.
Do not leave the assembly points until the evacuation process is completed and instructions are issued by the competent authorities.
Missing people are followed up by evacuation officials.
Notes:
A green card means a full number (the number of students present at the assembly point is equal to the number of attendees on the same day).
A yellow card means an incomplete number and the location of the male or female student are known.
A red card means the absence of one or more students with no information available about their location.
In the event of any emergency within the school campus, the witness of the incident must activate the nearest fire button.
If the alarm sound is repeated more than once, immediately carry out the evacuation process: “It was heard, then it went off, then it was heard again.”
